Abba Father, we truly thank you. Through the salvation of Your beloved son Jesus Christ, we are not only children of the Heavenly Father, but priests of the heavenly kingdom as well.
Heavenly Father, we thank you for Your continuous molding in our lives. Your thoughts are as numerous as the sand on the seashore. This is something neither easy to comprehend, nor easy to believe that people like us can become a royal priesthood. The position of "priest" is too far-fetched and unattainable. How can we become one? Through participating in the million-hour prayer for Hong Kong, You built up my faith and perseverance toward prayer. During the preparations for the "Million-Hour Prayer for Hong Kong" Celebration Ceremony and the evening meeting, I was astonished when I found out that God was willing to reveal His power and sovereignty from beginning to end. What moved me was that God did not consider me foolish, but continued to reveal and lead us and made His presence known among us. In all the arrangements made, He clearly confirmed with us: "Our Lord God Almighty reigns!" As it is written in our prayer handbooks, "The Holy Spirit reveals the will of God in the hearts of the intercessors. Through prayer and supplication all kinds of wonderful things can take place. This testifies to the truthfulness and power of God." The entire ceremony was itself a great event and no one could have boasted anything, for God Himself has accomplished it. Early on God has sent His ambassadors in various positions to provide support, and revealed His will in their hearts at the appropriate time. In the end God placed His message in the hearts of the participants. Everything had only one purpose: "To testify to His truthfulness and power!"
When the Holy Spirit lives in us and moves us to pray in the name of Jesus Christ, everyone of us is considered to be the "royal priesthood". In the evening of October 6, almost 4,000 brothers and sisters belonging to the "royal priesthood" were brought into the presence of the earthly "king" (those on earth with authority). The brothers and sisters blessed them and sought for wisdom and strength on behalf of those in authority. They brought them into the presence of God - which is a pleasant thing. Those in authority were edified, and even the "priests" were also edified as a result of the prayers filled with love.
Lord, we thank you for answering the prayers made in our prayer handbooks: "Lord, there is nothing too hard for you. Through answered prayers, we begin to know the power of the Almighty. We also know that the Lord Jesus would bless this generation through the prayers of His people. This reveals that the Lord is the unique Lord and God. Lord, this is wonderful news. Our Lord God Almighty reigns! Hallelujah!" "At that time, the hearts of the people will be kindled by the fire of God's Spirit, and become zealous for the name of the Lord as the gospel is spread from place to place." Father, may what you have bestowed not be stolen; what you have kindled may not be put out, because You reigned as King, and Your Kingdom has come upon us.
