These I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations. (Isa. 56:7)
In the past eight years the Lord has led us to become watchmen for our city, to pray for her economy and social living. Through these teachings we have learned to proclaim the names of God in our city, and that the Lord reigns in our city. Such proclamations are in fact the beginning of victory, the initiators of faith and the provision of spiritual protection from the Above. Then the Lord led us to start with the million-hour prayer as the means to call Christians involve by their commitment to pray daily.
At first it has not been clear as to why we should need to pledge ourselves to a prayer time. Yet after a process of eight years, starting to finish one million hours in 24 months until finishing it within 9 months in our sixth million hour of prayer, the Lord has led us to a serious and achievable spiritual discipline in order to help Christians form a persevering prayer habit. Up until now many Christians have got used to praying half an hour each day. It is indeed the wonderful work of God that Christians have been able to train themselves into such a spiritual discipline.
Other than prayer itself, the Lord has taught us to pray with purified lips—using the Bible as our prayer content. We have used the Bible to write up different prayer handbooks to fit the needs of Christians in order that each prayer submitted to God is filled with His words.
Today the Lord has sent forth His word that we are to build up a prayer net with 300 prayer warriors as the core group, each of whom in turn is to seek for two prayer partners and build up a mutual caring relationship through telephone contact weekly. The "Do This" Million-Hour All Nations Prayer Net will supply two written prayers to all participants. If the prayer net is extended continuously, it will increase by doubling itself at an amazing speed around the world. In these last days, Christians are not only built up with a persevering prayer habit, they are also linked up with one another. They will also get used to receiving written prayers through the internet in order to keep abreast of the pulse of the city and stay alert as watchmen. In case of any crisis that may arise in the future, we would be able to call people to prayer. We fully believe that these are all the work of God because He will bring us to His holy mountain and give us joy in His house of prayer. Our burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on His altar for His house will be called a house of prayer for all nations. (Isa. 56:7) This is indeed the gracious gift of the Lord. He will be with us to lead us through the last days so that we can have peace and trust in Him because we will see the glory of God in the land of the living. Thank you Lord.
